Transport without compromising flavor! Volkmann's powder transport system.
In the spice industry, it is essential to transport raw materials without compromising flavor and to measure and fill them accurately. Particularly, spices are delicate, making sealed transport crucial. Improper transport or measurement can lead to flavor degradation and quality variation. Our powder transport system achieves sealed transport, enabling accurate measurement and filling while preserving flavor. We received a request to transport ingredients for baked goods such as sugar, salt, starch, and flour in a sealed structure. A transport capacity of 1,000 kg/h with an input accuracy of less than 1% is required. To accomplish this, we designed a supply hopper with dust collection functionality for six different raw materials. The raw materials are transported from the hopper to a central large hopper via six vacuum conveyors. Below the vacuum conveyors, Volkmann vibrating feeders are installed, allowing for filling in gram units.
